Master Mechanic
Sharon, MA · General LaborThe Town of Sharon seeks a full-time (40 hours/week) Master Mechanic to join the team in the Department of Public Works.
Duties include: Maintenance and repair work on town equipment and vehicles, maintain records of repair orders, perform auto body work and related welding and metal work, order replacement parts, deal with parts vendors, obtain cost estimates and schedule outside repairs when necessary, and answer road calls.
Required to perform and supervise the performance of a variety of preventive maintenance work such as lubrication and replacing oil filters and a wide variety of technical and physically demanding duties for extended periods of time, i.e. snow storms, etc.
Ability to diagnose and repair motor vehicles and diesel equipment. Ability to operate light, heavy, and specialized motor equipment.

Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Massachusetts Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Massachusetts Class 2A Hoisting Engineer’s License
